A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by on 23rd May 2026 to support our Plant Sale. We had an incredible response from the get-go and raised an amazing £305 in about an hour.
The plants sold so fast we had to close much sooner than expected. We are sorry to anyone who came later and was disappointed.
A very special thank you to the Royal Society of St George, and to Mike and his wife Linda for giving up their time today and supporting the Hall in this way. Some of you may know Mike who is involved with The Phoenix Players - the amateur dramatics society that meets at The Institute on Friday evenings. They are working on their next production (details in the poster on our home page) - tickets are on sale now!

You may have seen our post last week about our Plant and Book Sale on 20th June. Well, thanks to the Royal Society of St George there will be an earlier Plant Sale at the Hall taking place this coming weekend - Saturday 23rd May from 10am until 12 noon. The RSSG will be donating all funds from the sale to the Institute Hall for important insulation improvement works.
If you are a visitor to Picnic in the Park you will have seen the beautiful plants the RSSG sell there, again supporting local charities.
Please do come along on Saturday and grab something colourful for your garden
Huge thanks to the RSSG for thinking of us and supporting us in this way.

Join us at the Institute Hall on 20th June between 10.30am and 1pm for a plant and book sale and, if you'd like one, a friendly chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
All proceeds will go to important work to improve the insulation at the Hall which we need to complete this autumn. Every penny helps so please come along and treat yourself to a little something for the garden or a bargain book. Or just have a chat over a tea or coffee (a small donation is requested for the tea or coffee - but the chat comes free!)

​We are holding a table top sale to raise funds for our hall. We welcome a range of stallholders - whether you are a private seller with items to re-home, or are selling arts and crafts, antiques, plants, jewellery etc.

Our thanks to the wonderful ladies of the WI who have offered to provide some refreshments on the day.

All local residents are welcome to attend our AGM. The meeting itself will be relatively short and will be followed by tea, coffee and biscuits.
